Wedding Season is Upon Us

Well before I knew it-it was here! Wedding Season is upon us once again. My favourite season of Tiaras and Tuxes is hitting it's stride. 

I wish all of you who are about to dive in to matrimony a happy adventure.

Here's my Wedding Tip:

If you can't afford to hire a wedding planner--enquire about whether the planner would be willing to be a consultant. Someone you can pay by the hour that you can bounce ideas off of. I often work with brides and grooms who just want to make sure they're on the right track. We'll meet for a cup of coffee and talk about what they've done, and have to do. Laid back and affordable.

Conference Coordination: Ontario Working Group on Early Intervention in Psychosis

Type A Events was honoured to be the Conference Coordinator for the 5th consecutive year for the OWGEIP Conference.

Thank you to the amazing members (250 plus of you) of the Ontario Working Group on Early Intervention in Psychosis who travelled from all across Ontario to make it to Toronto. It was an absolute pleasure to work with such a dedicated group of people. 

The three-day Conference at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel featured a keynote speaker from Australia was well as a number of experts from right here in Ontario.  

Coordinating this pivotal event was extremely rewarding.

Type A Events is thrilled to be working with the fabulous folks at the National Home Show on their upcoming Housewarming (Launch) Party on February 20th, 2009.

Be transported back to the 1930s! CityLine Host Tracy Moore, along with HGTV's Colin and Justin will be on hand at this fabulous event benefitting the Children's Miracle Network.

Come sample appetizers by renowned CityLine Chef Jason Parsons of Peller Estates alongside Centreplate's Chef Robert.

The Toronto Wine and Spirit Festival and the RE/Max Kitchen party will be on hand with drink samples to sip on. Be entertained by our fabulous 1930s style dancers, and get into the mood while a Jazz Trio plays those standards we all love.

Quick Tip: Conferences

If your conference runs over more than one day, be sure to have regularly scheduled breaks and at least one 'social activities' night. Even if you have a tight schedule and an end goal for the conference, try to give people some time to socialize. We all know that many of history's greatest deals have been made with a relaxed chat over a nice bottle of Merlot.
