Wedding Shoes

Hi all,
Summer has finally come to Toronto!
It's wedding season and the invitations are filling your mailbox.
For brides and bridesmaids (MOBs, MOGs, and anyone else looking for a great look) I had to pass on these fabulous shoes from the bridal collection of Chie Mihara.
Chie Mihara is a Japanese-Spanish designer who makes beautiful, unique and, most importantly, comfortable shoes that you can wear for hours.

Type A Events has no affiliation with Chie Mihara, just a respect for the work she does and the products she produces.

On a beautiful day in late September, Rob and Lara said "I Do" in front of their closest friends and family. This artistic duo chose to use their favourite authors as the theme to their wedding. Type A Events worked closely with them to bring this theme to life. From the author-dedicated tables, to the fun "Polaroid" station-this brunch wedding was filled with warm and lovely moments. The relaxed atmosphere, and the love between the bride and groom helped make this one of the most memorable weddings of the year!

Each table had a favourite book by the chosen author that was given away
as a gift during the games portion.

The kids sat at the "Dr. Seuss table"--Green Eggs and Ham were not served at this brunch.

Each table also had scrabble tiles which spelled out "Love" in a variety of languages to
display the couple's love of travel.

Congratulations Mara and Jeff!

On a beautiful, sunny August day Mara and Jeff said "I Do" underneath the Chuppah. With their family beside them, and their friends in attendance, it truly was a special day.

Wedding Season is Upon Us

Well before I knew it-it was here! Wedding Season is upon us once again. My favourite season of Tiaras and Tuxes is hitting it's stride. 

I wish all of you who are about to dive in to matrimony a happy adventure.

Here's my Wedding Tip:

If you can't afford to hire a wedding planner--enquire about whether the planner would be willing to be a consultant. Someone you can pay by the hour that you can bounce ideas off of. I often work with brides and grooms who just want to make sure they're on the right track. We'll meet for a cup of coffee and talk about what they've done, and have to do. Laid back and affordable.
